Wong Chuk Hang was home to over 1,190 factories in the 1980s. In the last two decades, the area was rejuvenated by an influx of creatives and small business entrepreneurs. When the MTR station opened in 2016, the new railway network vastly improved accessibility to the area and shortened the transport time to main business districts like Admiralty and Central to just 10 minutes.
At the same time, new office buildings were built, ushering in even more corporates and smaller companies. An HKD 11.8 billion residential project, led by Kerry Properties, Swire Properties, and Sino Land, is currently underway at the old Wong Chuk Hang depot and is expected to be completed by 2025. The opening of the project is anticipated to invite a younger population into the area and will mark the start of the neighborhood’s gradual transformation. With over 10,000 square feet, Metro Workspace Wong Chuk Hang is positioned to become one of the up-and-coming creative hubs.
Metro Workspace’s The Urban Woods is in Remex Centre right across from the Wong Chuk Hang MTR station. We offer a cheaper all-in-one alternative compared to the surrounding new office developments for SMEs, entrepreneurs, and the creative industry. The workspace is fully fitted out with a modern wood-themed design. The Urban Woods offers spacious private rooms, dedicated desks, hot desks, and event space. Our cross-site access pass allows members to travel between our workspaces in Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Tin Hau, Kwai Chung, and Yuen Long.
